Dr. Melinda D. Richards, is a Licensed and Certified, Psychotherapist - Hypnotherapist.
HYPNOTX, is her own brand of Hypno-Psychotherapy, providing services for individuals,
using an integrated approach to traditional “talk therapy”. After many years of practice, Dr.
Richards felt that there had to be a way to deal with issues and change behavior in her
clients in a shorter period of time. Dr. Richards believes that sometimes “talk therapy” does not meet all the client needs and needs to be paired with other scientifically sound
approaches.
It is the philosophy of Dr. Richards that stabilization and full recovery require ancillary
services and resources such as Hypnotherapy. It is her goal to de-mystify hypnosis,
educate consumers and establish an integrated service delivery program. That plan
includes hypnosis as a useful tool for easing psychological distress and bringing about
profound change in a variety of situations.
Hypnosis is a very safe and highly effective approach to resolving many issues. The
American Medical Association approved the use of hypnosis in 1958. It has been
successfully used for many years in medical and dental practices. Hypnosis also has many coaching and spiritual applications. A wide range of challenges can be addressed by hypnosis including fears, phobias, anxieties, and addictions. Issues can often be resolved in as little as one session saving time, energy and money.
