Our Mission


To provide Family Support services to prevent child hunger, abuse and neglect among at-risk families. To provide Family Preservation services to assure children’s safety within the home and preserve intact families when maltreatment has occurred when the family’s problems can be addressed effectively. To provide Time-Limited Reunification services to address the problems of families whose children have been placed in foster care so that reunification, and other permanency options, may occur in a safe and timely manner in accordance with the Adoption and Safe Families Act and to help sustain reunification. To provide Adoption Promotion and Post-Permanency Support services to promote and support adoptions and other permanency options, to prevent disruption or support adoptions and other permanency options, to prevent disruption or dissolution, and to help prepare youth for the transition to independent adult living.
 

Our Philosophy


Passport 2 Prosperity, Inc. was founded by Dr. Melinda D. Richards, LPC on the belief that a strong family is the cornerstone for a strong community.
We believe that a family’s future is strongly influenced by their immediate surroundings, and with this philosophy in mind, Passport 2 Prosperity, Inc. is committed to providing the most effective Family Support Services, Family Preservation, Reunification and Post-Permanency services available.


Dr. Melinda D. Richards, our Founder, is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Anger Management Specialist and Certified Special Education Teacher with over 15 years of classroom and community-based experience. Dr. Richards is surrounded by a team of licensed and Master level clinicians. The P2P, Inc. team is dedicated to providing quality services that offer our families a Passport 2 Prosperity in our communities.

Child & Adolescent Nutritrion Programs

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

The Therapeutic After-School Program is a clinical program designed to meet the needs of high-risk children with behavioral/academic difficulties between the ages of 5 to 13 and
to promote stabilization and re-integration into the community. A high staff-to-child ratio (2:1) ensures individualized support and guidance.

FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM

The goal of the program is to assist the children in learning socially appropriate skills and
to assist parents in developing a wider range of parenting skills. The Family Support Program seeks to maintain the children in their households and works intensively with children and family members in order to accomplish that goal.

TEEN CLUB

The Teen Club Programs is designed to help our young people become the leaders and
decision-makers of the future by helping them develop the initiative and problem-solving skills necessary to stay on-track to graduate high school, enter college or vocational training and successfully transition into adulthood.

Super Saturday

A Therapeutic program for children ages 5-12 who ARE struggling to get along with others, being bullied or is bullying. The Saturday Program is designed to work with your child using various therapeutic techniques. Open group sessions are in the morning, and fun filled activities in the afternoon.

  • Breakfast and lunch is provided.

Program is every 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month.

School Break camp

Let your child join us for Christmas or Spring breaks. We have fun and exciting school break camps.  The children enjoy field trips, arts and crafts, science and many more activities during our camp time.

Summer Camp

Through our therapeutic approach, campers will have the opportunity to develop and practice a wide variety of social and communication skills in an interactive group setting. Let your child enjoy all of the traditional
favorites such as swimming, arts and crafts, songs, indoor and outdoor games, and much, much more…Our services will also provide children and their families the assistance to help them in developing new skills and coping mechanisms. Our goal is to provide a safe, and quality summer camp that will help your child develop skills in a variety of areas, make new friends, and
have a truly fun and exciting summer!
